Spider Crab: the first island boss
Spider Crab is the first main-island boss. Its bait is an empty beer can obtained through the sailor tutorial.
Prepare and summon
Feed the sailor, get beer for him, then use the empty can as bait. Before casting, consider a knife or brass knuckles; PC Gamer's solo run found a melee upgrade helpful.
Fight and leave the island
Let the crab finish an attack, step in while it is dazed, then move away. Deliver its remains to the old fisherman for the boat keys. Take a radar before sailing so you can navigate.
Continue with Giant Piranha on Forest, or use the island route.
