How to Fish: new mini islands and islets
The mini islands are side destinations, not extra numbered story stages. The September 28 Islet Update added them. Keep the main-island quest route separate when deciding where to go next.
How to find the new islands
Look for side destinations while travelling between main islands. Snake's v1.1.3 guide reports that the encountered islet changes with repeated crossings. There is no verified fixed coordinate list or guaranteed rotation in the sources below. Patch 1.1.2 enlarged mini-island radar dots.
Landmarks and what to look for
- Small sandy islands: players describe collecting Crab Carcass bait for euro fishing.
- Small castle-like island: an October player places the bow merchant here.
- Oil pump and barrels: Snake's guide identifies this as the Manta setup. It reports throwing the interactable barrel into the water to start the encounter.
- Wishbone: the same guide describes a side-island upgrade for Drip catches. See euros and Wishbone spending.
These are community landmarks, not official island names or an exhaustive map. Identify the object and its interaction prompt before acting.
A practical exploration checklist
- Check your radar before departing the main island.
- Inspect the side destination and identify its merchant, pickup or encounter object.
- Keep enough supplies for your return; do not confuse a side activity with the next story quest.
- If you lose your radar, consult the recovery notes before trying repeated reloads.
What about the parkour island?
An October 23 player asked how to complete it, but the replies did not document a route or reward. We have not verified a jump-by-jump walkthrough. This page therefore does not promise a shortcut or completion method for that challenge.
